Thor - a banda foi formada em torno do vocalista Jon Miki Thor, um ex-fisiculturista que se tornou uma estrela do rock. Thor oferece heavy metal com alguns riffs incríveis, alguma influência de quadradinhos, melodias, bem como rockers de power metal e hinos…. Alliance apresenta 17 faixas, bem como uma longa e impressionante lista de convidados, mais notavelmente Chris Holmes [ex W.A.S.P.] e 'Ross The Boss' Friedman, guitarrista [e ex-colega de banda] Frank Soda, Al Harlow [dos Prism] e vários outras.
Começando com o hino “We Need Musclerock”, Alliance contém muitos rockers divertidos, com os favoritos sendo “Power Hungry”, “Bounty Hunter” e “Rock Around The World” [c / Danko Jones]. “Queen Of The Spiders” é minha música favorita aqui, é com Frank Soda, um pouco mais descontraída, um pouco com a sensação dos Doors.
Isso é melódico metal do final dos anos setenta / início dos anos oitenta, que hoje em dia é clássico rock. Na verdade, várias faixas são muito clássico rock, melódicas, nada de metal.
Isso é diversão retro da velha escola de todas as formas.
